Cheesey

Well, after all that “showing it who’s boss” stuff from yesterday, we ended up having grilled cheese on toast for dinner. Amelia and I ate huge amounts of bbq and salad followed by even huger amounts of chocolate cake at Mother’s Day lunch that I came home and couldn’t even imagine wanting to tuck into a roast a few hours later. Big-P, on the other hand, stayed home sick and missed out on the feast so was looking longingly at the photo in Jamie’s book that sat open on the bench this evening as I slapped down the cheese slices.

Dad drove me down to IKEA this morning and I blew the budget with two trolley loads of furniture. What we could fit in his car we brought home and I have been in such a good mood ever since (no buyer’s remorse this time). I can’t wait for the rest of it to be delivered tomorrow so that we can spin that allen key and start getting the studio into a workable state. I have animals to make! I have a show to get ready for!

  3. I keep admiring that cut-out curtain in your sidebar. But I can’t figure out if it really is a cut-out design. Is the fabric solid or are there actual cut-outs? Thanks!

  5. Aaaww poor Big-P.
I wish we lived closer to an IKEA, then I could do more then spend hours pawing over the catelogue.

CBP, The curtain is made of a type of paper. It seems relatively sturdy. It is completely cut out. Looks like lace from a distance. Very Cool!

  7. We put together our IKEA furniture a few months ago and couldn’t be happier. I love that store!

  8. Oh yummm! I love grilled cheese sandwiches, and Ikea can’t be beat. 🙂
