Well, fray
day is almost upon us melbourne-ites...
and the very sexy organising group are actually almost totally
organised - which I only sound surprised about because way
back in the beginning it took us several days worth of continual
emailing to arrange to meet for a half hour meeting... and
I thought "oh oh - this does not bode well". But
here we are a few months later, and none of us have thrown
a hissy fit, or stormed out of a meeting saying "I just
can't work with you people" or any of those other possible
outcomes of group projects. The night is promising to be really
fun and exciting and lots of people are thinking about being
brave and hitting the open mic with their true and personal
stories... me? I won't be. I get public speaking heeebeeegeebees
- and even though this will be an wonderfully supportive,
easy going crowd full of shy web heads and friends of shy
web heads, I still don't think I want to increase my stress
levels beyond the high level they are already at... we want
a calm, relaxed happy door person, not a frenzied screeching
harpy to greet people with raffle tickets at the door.
So please come along! Bring your stories,
or your appreciative listening hat... at we'll see you there:
