Rainy day and my ugly mug

It’s a miserable day here on the island. Luckily I am partial to rain and heavy, grey skies. The crazy, tree-limb tossing, roof-pounding wind I can do without.

I am about to head over to a friend’s ceramic studio to work on some more wonky hand-built pots. Here you can see my first tea cup (which I call the Ugliest Cup in the World) ready for it’s second firing.

We finally watched Louis C.K. on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee and I laughed myself silly. It’s so good, but extra worth watching for the animated story of his boat adventures with his two kids.

Jen talks about her influences in “Jen Storer on the inspirations behind her bestselling Truly Tan Series” – which is from last November, but I start work on the internal illustrations for book 4 this week so I’m posting it anyway.

And lastly – my friend and writing buddy Lia Riley has revealed the book covers for her upcoming NA series Off The Map and we are all swoony and excited. I can’t wait to see what Lia has been up to. Here’s her first interview on Books Over Boys.
