Cloudy today, but happy anyway
See if you can resist this letterpress print! (No-Spend-Year, why do you taunt me so? Surely books and art are basic necessities… yes?) It’s a wee thing, but how sweet it is, by the talented Vera Brosgol. It is part of the Cloudy Collection – Volume One, Edition Two – “Hovels and Hideaways”, which also includes artists S.Britt, Elio, David Huyck, Bwana Spoons and Vincent Stall. So good!

Also – have you seen this? Elsita papercut patterns. Get your knives out! (via @oneredrobin – honestly, Twitter has all the good news)
I too think you should make some sort of exception. Why not one hand made item a month? Or a book? You can’t deprive yourself of ALL happiness. Right? : )
I can never resist letterpress. If I won the lottery, I’d have a room dedicated to letterpress. Sigh.
I love this design.
I’ve come to the conclusion that, quite simply, you have the best stuff on your blog…I am always fawning over your latest discoveries!
it’s so cute, i can completely see why you couldn’t resist it!
I know what you mean! I’m having the same trouble, trying to resist lovely fab items that you absolutely need in your life but are not seen as essential items by other member of your family!, go on treat yourself it would be rude not to!
Books and art ARE basic necessities. Your No-Spend-Year should have one day breaks every month…as a reward you see.
Oh, I wish books and art could be basic necesities… how to convince hubby… what to do without… food, clothes, shoes? I know, cleaning products! 🙂
BUT !!!! you do have to have a copy of “HOMEMADE” seeing as you are the fab girl that did the front cover no less ????????? well done you clever girl ,i just ordered my copy YAY !!!!!!
I’ve never heard to letterpress before, but this design looks really adorable!

Oh my stars! This is such an adorable little print!
You are doing a No-Spend-Year?? Oh my goodness! I struggle to do a No-Spend-Month. How have you managed? There must be some hope for me… if someone can shoot for a year, I can at least do a month, right?? (Or so I say to myself.)
In my opinion books and art are definitely necessities – right up there with oxygen, food and love.
That picture is so sweet, at the moment I’m really into designs that use different shades of just one colour, in this case: Pink(or red).
