"I can also report that Audrey has affectionately named this cat 'Meow' (or her approximation of 'meow' which sounds something like 'maaaow'), and has heartily welcomed her into her personal flock of softies."

"i decided that a stylish bag was a must for a catwalk theme. here is my scene of a kitty, wearing a lovely vintage frock, taking her pet mouse for a walk. the bag is made from cotton fabrics and wool felt with an assortment of ribbons and buttons."

"This little knitted cat has a very stylish pillow to sit on, made from a piece of vintage fabric. I guess that makes it more of a Vintage Catsit than a Catwalk... maybe he's resting after a nice stroll?"

"I hand-sewed them from felt, vintage velvet, vintage buttons for the noses, and fake fur from various sources.
They are dressed with eyelet trim from one of my mom-made 80's outfits on the grey kitty,
a vintage ribbon and bead on the blue kitty, and a rather new sparkly tulle ballerina outfit on the pink kitty!"

"Don't laugh- it's my first sewing project. Well, except for the gym bag that was our ONLY project in 7th grade home economics. Do they still teach that? I was so bored and miserable in that class that I messed up my 4.0 GPA and got a C and haven't sewn a thing until now"

"for some reason I decided pipe cleaners with wooden beads for heads was the way to go, it was looking like a very silly idea half way through but they came out rather interesting."

"This is Kookai. He loves children and loves to have a snooze next to
the bonsais. He wanders away from home occasionally, but misses his cuddles with the kids so he always comes back."

"I made this cat door stop/draft dodger. It is made of fabric that I thought looked rather vintage. It is, of course, a cat. And it goes in the doorway, where you walk. Vintage-Cat-Walk."

"She's a bit wonky on the edges though and she has a very weak neck :p but I’m quite proud of her because it’s my first time making a doll (with a dress too!) and I hand-sewed every part of her."

" I had quite large problems with the word vintage, but i think it got i right? My hippie cat is 21 cm high and was made of several materials, among them clay, wire, cottonwool and old fabrics."

Dannii Robertson
"Her name is Felix and she enjoys pink cupcakes, polka-dots and purring. She
is not as fancy as the other vintage cats, but she does'nt mind. She's
happy, spending her days under the gum tree; pondering."

"Meoooww.
...This vintage kitty feels hot to trot and loves to show off her rear
end. She does her best to suck in her unfortunately low hanging and
rather pointy gut. Age & gravity. Bless."

"Meet Chatonne, the feline Supermodel. She's made from vintage chenille that I purchased to make my daughter's quilt. Her dress is made from a 50's era piece of fabric my husband got as part of a lot (also for her quilt), and her shoes are made from black velvet ribbon that was in my grandmother's sewing box."

" I had a vague idea in my head, but finally sat down to work on it last night. I knew I wanted a svelte cat in a cocktail dress. While I was digging in the Abyss Closet, I came across this forgotten leopard print. Purr-fect."

"Ruby is a simple little pancake style doll. She is made of cotton muslin and has little button eyes, a puffed satin stitched nose and wool hair. I think the knotted strand of pearls adds an extra bit of vintage flair, ala June Cleaver, et al."

"I decided to take the "walk" part of the theme literally and put my cats on a pair of socks. I prefer to go barefoot but when my feet get chilly socks are the next best thing. And when you're lounging around on a chilly evening, feeling a little blue, what could cheer you up more than a handsome pair of cats on your socks."

"My inspiration was The Pink Panther. . . go ahead and laugh - hah hah! This is what happens when you are new to sewing and think that you'll whip up a practice panther first out of green felt that you have on hand, but then realize you are in way over your head with these monstrous proportions and pattern-less very difficult head shape. You end up with a green pink panther. Oh well, my dog Bella liked him!"

""This is Kiki. Her mother was a showgirl in the Ziegfeld Follies. Kiki plays a mean tambourine and can shake it like nobody's business. Her favorite drink is a Woo-Woo and her favorite dance is the Watoosi. She's been known to get a little tipsy and flash a bit of bloomer on the dance floor." "

" Her name is Betty, and she's a bobby soxer - I guess that's how I interpreted the "vintage" part of vintage catwalk. On her skirt instead of a poodle I painted a black cat, and to give her a touch of glam I made "sequins" for her cat-eye glasses out of glue and glitter. It was improv, but I actually like how it turned out!"
