The orange beads were my initial inspiration in choosing
colors. I loved the idea of an Indian elephant with a
beautiful beaded saddle blanket. The pattern came from
Carolyn Vosburg Hall's book, "Sewing Tiny Toys".
The legs are all movable. After a sad attempt at roller
skates I opted for the beaded party hat which is a salute
to Jennifer Murphy (in the latest issue of Mary Engelbreit's
Home Companion the article on Jennifer showed an elephant
with a party hat).
Since this little guy I have made another elephant, a
kangaroo, a bat, a T-rex, a slug (my design) and am working
on a unicorn.
