"I so loved all the elephants last month and was determined to join in the fun. Now I should explain, the last time I picked up needle and thread I think I was about 14 and my Mother (read incredibly talented seamstress) was trying again to pass on some of her skills to her only daughter. What can I say I was crap or should I say I couldn’t be bothered to sew because it was far too untrendy and I just wanted to practice my Madonna dance routines.

So it was with some trepidation that I nipped along to Lyncraft and bought felt and thread and actually started sewing. My holiday hang up is Flora the Fairy. I am quite pleased with Flora though I feel she will not be altogether pleased with me as I am sending her picture to you with one shoe missing and only half her dress beading complete. The reason for sending Flora with flaws is that I am off to Avoca tomorrow for Christmas by the beach and will not have access to a computer until after Xmas and I didn’t want to miss the deadline. So here she is."
