"'With rings on her fingers and
bells on her toes - she shall hear music where-ever she
goes'. In 1944 - when I was two years old - Mother took
me past a School of Arts hall when children were learning
the 'Sailors Hornpipe'. I dashed inside and never stopped
dancing! I was outraged at 5 years of age when I realised
school attendance would cut into my valuable dancing hours!
At 63 I can still perform a passable Irish jig! Old dancers
never die - they just have trouble jumping on one leg!."
