Deep breaths --- deeeeep breaths.
Somehow I have worked myself into a ridiculous
state of nervous tension. I was feeling a little stressed
(wedding in two weeks and the dress is still a little elusive
plus we leave for Canada in two and a half weeks, and there
are work deadlines etc) and then I was crazy enough to have
a strong-ish coffee. While I was sitting on the phone to my
dad, who was doing quite a good job of distracting me with
long and entertaining tales of bad web developers, a scary
looking guy started peering through the fence about half a
metre outside my study window. Now you might
know that I find this a little confronting but I was doing
ok, thinking some people just have these curious urges and
there's nothing else to it... deeeep breaths. But then he
put his hands around the bars of the fence and started climbing
it. As you can perhaps imagine, this was enough to make my
heart race at a scary rate. I was speedily planning to initiate
some karate-chops of my own devising when it turned out he
was just attaching a "for sale" sign to the fence
for one of the other flats in my block, but boy I am now feeling
quite unhinged.
