I have been waiting for something exciting
to happen before I wrote another entry but as it's been almost
a whole week and nothing much has happened at all I thought
I might update anyway...
The weekend was pretty relaxing apart from
all the driving around I did. Big-P is getting very good at
not grabbing the wheel from me when we are reversing out of
a parking spot. Actually, to be fair, he is an extremely calm
copilot. Today I find out from my driving instructor when
my test will be. The fact that I may soon be "able to
drive" is something I having trouble comprehending. Without
having heart palpitations anyway.
We saw Attack of the Clones, and although
I didn't fall asleep as I did (on three different viewings)
with The Phantom Menace, I was still not entirely impressed.
Nice costumes but that Anakin is really annoying. How much
older is Padme Amidala meant to be? Surely she is way too
old to be tolerating his teenage temper tantrums. There must
be a large shortage of young good looking males in that galaxy
for her to put up with it.
Small and Tiny-Small dropped in for a visit
on Monday afternoon. Tiny-Small is still pretty tiny but growing
up fast. He can now stand for a few seconds with no support
and even apparently took a few steps last week. He can say
basic words like mamama, dadada, bird and so on. So impressive!
The child is a genius. His first birthday is next month...
how time speeds by.
Other weeks highlights include a haircut
with a drastically blunt fringe (or bangs for you northern
hemisphere folks),
eating pizza while watching Sth Korea beat
Spain, a visit from Anne, Lliam and baby-R, yoga class with
end of term treats and tea afterwards, visiting a couple of
knitting shops with my mum including the inspiring but outrageously
expensive Sunspun...
I wasn't kidding when I said nothing much has been happening
all week.
I have just been up to the post office
and found a couple of parcels! Nothing is more exciting than
this. Firstly there was my latest copy of INSIDE
OUT magazine... which means I will be in homewears heaven
for fifteen minutes or so. And also a little parcel all the
way from Cincinnati. Upon reading that Baby
Gap doesn't exist for us Australians (and no overseas
deliveries either! How cruel they are), Tricia
took pity and has helped me satiate my craving with two of
the cutest little suits.
