you will need:

1 large can of whole tomatoes
1 lime (only half is needed)
1 jalopeno
1 onion (only half is really needed)
1 fresh pack of cilantro [coriander-ed] in produce section
salt
food processor (not a blender. they liquefy the tomatoes. not good)

i have tried store bought salsa after salsa, and not one has satisfied my salsa needs. they're all too pasty and the chunks are awful. after watching the food network, i decided it was high time to make my own. the food network does something to you. or it does to me. every time i watch it i start raiding my kitchen pantry and create unknown dishes.

salsa isn't unknown, but i made this recipe from my own little head! once you've tasted this delight you will never have pasty salsa in your shopping cart again! only fresh cilantro and limes! just don't get to carried away with the jalopeno pepper...

put your whole canned tomatos in food processor and process into salsa texture. pour in large bowl.

cut an onion in half and place into food processor to chop up. once done put them into the bowl with the tomatos.

take the lime and cut in half and squeeze juice out into bowl.

Cut your jalopeno in half also, and cut out the veins and remove the seeds. leave seeds and veins in if you want super hot salsa. i mean HOTTT. place pepper in food processor for chopping. Place that into large bowel once done.

manually chop the leaves of the cilantro plant off and place those with the other added ingredients.

mix all ingredients together and add a few sprinkles of salt.

let it get cool in the fridge. Take out later and enjoy with chips. very healthy, very easy, and very good. just be careful with the jalopeno. make sure to wash you hands after handling the inside. enjoy!
