Paris – Beatnik – Audrey Hepburn – Dancing

How can you resist a title like that? I have been drawing dancing beatniks today, inspired almost completely by this scene from Funny Face. A bookish, shy girl goes to paris and expresses herself through interpretative dance. We’ve all been there. Right? (In our dreams).

Okay…clearly this is what I’ve been missing in my life. Watch for me in front of Barb’s Buns- the stairs would make good props.

I love, love, love this scene. As soon as craft show season is done, I’m making a date with this DVD and some knitting. And some wine.

I hadn’t seen this before. It looks like Michael Jackson may have been inspired by this scene as well!
