Making Leta

There’s a new story up over at Fray. Heather Armstrong wrote it and I illustrated it. Check out Making Leta.

Also, while I was looking through Jenny Hart’s links I found the Austin Craft Marfia – and this page (make sure to roll over the photos) is so great.

A proper update coming soon.

O…a juicy slice of bloggity heaven! What an unbeatable combo… your signature illustrations and Heather’s world weary words! You really capture her and that over-ripe pregnant look. Just wonderful! You two must MUST team up again!

Oooooh, Claire, they’re wonderful! I had already read Heather’s birth story, but your illustrations make it even better! Cripes, delivery is hard work… (reminds self to not do that again)

Making Leta was utterly fab. Partly humoresly and realistic observation! Wonderful job on the illos.
If you like retros maybe you should check this thing out. I spotted this show on style network and immeditally found it compelling. A (martha stewertish) man in drag host reintroducing 50 to 80’s kisch. Check it out

Very wonderful illustrations, Claire! Fantastic. I’ve yet to read the article (as we are living it right now as we speak┬ľAndrea’s 7 months along now), but I really dig your work. Thanks for the link! Keep it up! We want more!

Hey! Thanks oodles for the Austin Craft Mafia mention. I just got a new order and in the “where did you hear about us” field the young lady mentioned your site. Thanks again. Keep your eyeballs peeled for Mafia member Vickie of Ruby Goes Retro new knitting show for the DIY network Knitty Gritty, you might dig it.
